I hope you guys have been enjoying my Tron Homage this week and last.
I’ve done a few nods to Tron before in my comic but never a full blown Tron Homage and since the new Tron movie (Also known as “Tron: Legacy”) is in production and due to be released this year I thought it was about time I played a bit with the world of Tron.
As you can tell if you’ve been following these comics I’ve mainly been focusing on the 1982 Tron since it’s a childhood favorite. (What is it about movies we grew up with that always seem to be the ones that never fade in our eyes?)
This is not to say that I won’t do some comics once “Tron: Legacy” comes out.
Hope ya’ll are enjoying these comics. They’ve been fun to create.
There are two movies out this weekend that I would deem worthy to be put in the “must see” category.
First on my list is “Scott Pilgram vs The World.” This film has been well advertised with eye catching trailers. It brings an interesting mix of nerdy, cheesy, romantic and poignant all rolled up in a colorful package wrapped with a bow of Comic Book “KABLAM” !!!
Also check out the online comic tie in on the Cartoon Network site.

The Second must see movie for this weekend is the “Expendables.” This movie has pretty much every action movie lover revved up. After all it has every action hero still alive in it or so the trailers keep reminding us.

The only thing that would make this movie more actiony would be if they dropped them all on a planet of Preditor Aliens. Oh, wait, they made that movie already (Preditors) and it was Awwwsome !!!
Honestly though, is this move really any more than a last trot around the track for a bunch of worn out old show ponies before they’re put out to pasture? But we love’em anyways and so will pay the price of a ticket to cheer them all on again.
Happy movie watching.
